Ideal as an introduction to competitive tennis, a chance to maintain that competitive edge between tournaments;seasons and;earn rating points, or just an opportunity to play matches with a variety of new friends.

The league is free to all who want to join
The singles leagues are forever free to all members of Salts, Armley, and Pudsey Tennis Clubs, and all pupils enrolled on Tennis United coaching courses and school programmes.
Playing periods are currently three times a year as follows :
1st March to 31st May; 6th June to 31st August; 5th September to 30th November

About
- The Leagues are affiliated to the LTA and players at starter tennis level and above from any club may join.
- The participants are responsible for contacting others in their box to arrange mutually convenient times and venues to play.
- Prizes are awarded to each box winner and periodically to other participants for notable achievements.
- Rules and details are provided to each participant with their league schedule at the start of each period.
- If you would like to join the League please complete the application form and return it to the League Administrator. It is possible to join the box league during the playing period.
Rules
- All matches must be played and results reported by 9pm on the last day of the period by text to Richard Senior 07855 764777
- No LTA rating is required for players new to the league. Players will then be required to have an LTA rating apply here
- Qualifying results will be submitted to the LTA for ratings purposes.
- Matches must be played according to the correct match format as specified by clicking here
- Entrants are responsible for contacting opponents to arrange the matches, supplying balls, and reporting the results
- Player initiating the match arrangements has choice of venue for match.
- Match winners will a point in their league. If two or more entrants receive the same number of points then match scores will be taken into account.
- Matches not played will be deemed as void and no points will be awarded to either entrant unless, in the view of the referee, one entrant has tried their utmost to arrange the match but the opponent has not been available in which case the unavailable entrant will be deemed to have lost.
- If a player is continually unavailable or does not contact opponents to arrange matches the referee may at his discretion bar the player from future boxes.
- On completion of each playing period, players may be re-organised into boxes as follows:
Winners of a box will be promoted upwards (where possible),
New players, joining the box-league programme part way through a playing period, will be slotted in at the most appropriate time.They will not have to wait any longer than the start of the next playing period and in some cases will be allowed to join in immediately.
