What we are doing

Our Aims

• We want to improve tennis delivery in all Local Authority facilities; that includes Parks, Schools and municipal facilities.
• Our activities will introduce new players to the game, and allow them to play and enjoy tennis on a regular basis.
• Our aims are enabling more people of all ages and abilities to play tennis.
• Our education team cover all schools, colleges and universities.
• The disability team covers all aspects of disability tennis (wheelchair, deaf, and those with learning disabilities) including performance, and development.
• In order to fund our activities we create opportunities for sponsors and donators.

Parks Tennis

We want more people of all ages and abilities to play tennis, Parks Tennis willl do just that, 'joined up' thinking makes things really happen for tennis for everyone.

Schools

Developind new school-club links and acting as a mentor to existing schools through use of the Tennis Foundation 'virtual coach' resource. This allows the teacher to access demonstrations of 6 weeks of tennis sessions, developed in line with the teaching curriculum in England, Scotland and Wales. Classes are within the confines and comfort of their own schools hall during their PE/Games lesson, whilst the teacher ensures the tasks and exercises are achievable to every child yet challenging for the more able.

Disability Camps

Fun filled activity for players of all standards. Coaching and friendship, combined with improvement and enjoyment.
