Leeds Tennis League (Aged 16+)
Singles Competition
The LTL Singles Competition is a city-wide tennis league allowing players from across Leeds to play competitive singles tennis.
- Open to anyone over 16 years old
- Players of any standard are welcome. The league operates in a hierarchical group format, meaning players play against opponents of a similar standard.
- Players do not need to be a member of a tennis club to participate and matches can be played on club, leisure centre or park courts.
- Each player plays a best-of-3 set singles match against the other players in the group. The league operates in 10 week rounds, with players being promoted of relegated at the end of this block depending on their finishing position within their group.
- The league is on a continual rotation. Following each round, there is a one week break while the groups are adjusted and new players enter the league, before matches recommence for the next round.
- Each match is arranged by the players themselves to suit, with one player responsible for arranging the court while the other brings a new tube of tennis balls.
