Armley Tennis Club

A great place to play

Armley became the first club in the Yorkshire LTA. The clubhouse was originally built in 1924 and was used as army barracks. In 2008 Armley Tennis Club had a complete refurbishment and is now a modern community club boasting incredible facilities. All 4 outdoor floodlit courts and the indoor court were completley resurfaced and the clubhouse is now a welcoming place to be. Location

Armley Tennis Club is situated on the A647 Stanningley Road, Leeds. The address is The Pavilion, 58 Stanningley Road, Leeds, LS12 2QS.

From the city centre the club is on the right hand side of the dual carriageway, 200yds after the traffic lights where Armley Ridge Road crosses Stanningley Road. There is a gap in the carriageway just outside the club to enable you to cross to the southbound carriageway and get access to the club.

From the north, the entrance is on the left hand side of the dual carriageway, 200yds from the traffic lights at Cockshot Lane and just after the bus stop shelter.

Coaching

Head Coach Richard Senior has a number of junior and senior coaching courses, and social play for members and non members organised for anyone who would like to come along and have a go. See coaching tabs for more details or contact him on 07855 764777

Membership

Membership is based either on an annual fee that covers the period 1 April to 31 March the following year or half yearly membership for summer from 1st April to 30th September or winter season from 1st October to 31st March. Adult membership for 2011/12 is £100. Juniors £50. Students £60. Half yearly membership for adults is £60. Discounted family membership is also available.

Court Booking

In order to make better use of our facilities, we are trialing a system of court bookings for members. You will in future be able to reserve a court at the club by clicking on the link to the left. This will take to you to the 'bookit' website developed by the LTA where you will be able to reserve a court, at no cost, up to 8 days in advance for a maximum of 2 hours. To use the system you will first have to register as a user, which is quick and easy to do. Then follow the simple instructions to find out when the courts are free and to make your booking.
